April is quickly approaching and so is the Ironman race. The Kiwanis will again be responsible for filling 50 positions as Run Sector Pointers for the race, along with volunteers for the Morning Clothes Bag Collection. The race is on Saturday, April 28th and the Morning Clothes Bag Collection shift is from 4:30AM – 7:30 AM, and the Run Sector Pointer shift (Shift #1) is from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
The Morning Clothes Bag Collection shift is responsible for collecting the athletes clothing in their drop off bag at Northshore Park and take it to the Finish Line. The Run Sector Pointer shift will assist in directing the runners to ensure they stay on course and to help cheer them as they run towards the finish line. Your position on the course will be assigned the day of the race.
It is necessary for every volunteer to sign up so the Ironman Organization knows how many volunteers will be available and in to order ensure your T-Shirt size is available.
